Information on Policy 5332, Student Publications
Recent media reports have focused on the School Board Policy Committee’s decision to review Policy 5332, Student Publications. As part of the Board’s practice, all policies are reviewed periodically and the Board’s focus this year has included polices in the 5000 series. Policy 5332 is part of this series and was last reviewed and revised in 1994. The governing premise of this policy has been and will continue to be twofold 1) to recognize the rights and freedoms students have to report the news, to editorialize and to produce other literary publications, and 2) to identify the students’ responsibility to refrain from publishing content that is libelous, obscene or disruptive to the educational environment. With the input from the T/ E School District’s solicitor, the proposed revisions would align Policy 5332 and its accompanying Administrative Regulation with state and legal guidelines for student publications. Planned Telephone and Web Site Outage, July 31-August 2, 2009

From July 31st through August 2nd, the T/E School District telephone service and web site will be temporarily disconnected while we relocate our network systems to a new building. The District's telephone service and web site will be restored on Monday, August 3, 2009.

2009-2010 School District Activity Calendar Available On-line
The 2009-2010 calendar is now available on the TESD web site. Click here to access the calendar.

This year, the activities from the calendar are also available in a comma separated value format which may be imported into certain software calendar applications. Click here to visit the calendar page of the TESD web site which lists the calendar in various formats.

Paper copies of the calendar will be mailed to parents in mid-August. Interested community members may pick up a copy of the calendar at the Tredyffrin/Easttown Administration Offices after August 17^th.

Please note: The School District Activity Calendar was created during the summer of 2009 and event dates and times often change throughout the school year. Please confirm dates and times with the individual schools.

New T/E Board Talk Airs on TETV and On-line
The program features segments on the Conestoga High School Street Team, the 2009-2010 Budget and the Communications Survey Results. It is airing on Comcast Channel 14 and Verizon Channel 20 at 6:00 p.m. daily and is also available on-line. Note: When viewing the program on-line, it may take a few minutes for the video to begin playing depending on the speed of your internet connection.
