TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP SIDEWALK COMMITTEE

SURVEY:

Tredyffrin Township is currently in the process of determining where to plan for walkways and bike lanes. Before any decisions are made, the Sidewalks Subcommittee appointed by the Board of Supervisors is interested in hearing from Tredyffrin residents on this issue.

Surveys can be completed on-line: http://www.tredyffrin.org/boards/ stap/sidewalk.aspx. Hard copies are available at the Township Building, Tredyffrin Public Library and the Paoli Library and can be returned to the Township Building.

The Sidewalk Subcommittee is holding a public meeting on

NEW RECREATION PROGRAMS FOR THE FALL/WINTER OF 2010 - 2011

WINTER RECREATION

Dates: Nov. 20, Dec. 4 - 18, 2010, Jan. 8 - 26, 2011

Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm

Location: Valley Forge Elementary School

Fee: Tredyffrin Resident - $24/child

Non-Tredyffrin Resident - $36/child

2010 - 2011 TENNIS & SQUASH LESSONS

Indoor Tennis at Radnor Racquet Club

Ages 4-18 + adult classes

Sundays, Jan. 23 - April 10 weeks (except Feb. 13)

Junior Squash at Fairmount Athletic Club

Ages 8 - 14

Sundays, October 31 to December 5

All children must pre-register for Winter Recreation at the Tredyffrin Township building prior to Nov. 17, 2010. A $15.00 late fee will be applied to any registrations submitted after Dec. 1, 2010.

Tredyffrin Township would like to acknowledge the Tredyffrin Township Foundation for Parks and Recreation for their sponsorship of the winter recreation program.

All fees collected for this program will be donated to the Foundation to offset a portion of the costs of Winter Recreation.

Walk-in registration - accepted on the first day of the program, on Nov. 20, 2010, accepting payment by check only.

CASSATT ROAD LEAF SITE OPEN FOR THE FALL!

Dates: Monday - Friday, Oct. 12 to Dec. 10 (SITE IS CLOSED NOV. 11, 25, AND 26)

Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:45 PM

Weekend Dates: Through the generosity of a volunteer, the Cassatt Road site will be open on the following weekend dates: October 30, November 6, 13, 20, and 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

NATIVE PLANT SALE AND COMPOST WORKSHOP

The Environmental Advisory Council, with the Duportail House Board of Directors, will be hosting a native plant sale and composting workshop on Saturday, October 9 from 10 am to 2 pm at the historic Duportail House located in Chesterbrook.

The compost workshop, presented by Dr. Ana Negron, is scheduled for noon. You can read about the importance of composting here.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE & ELECTRONICS COLLECTION EVENT

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2010

9 am - 3 pm

Chester County Government Services Center

601 Westtown Road West Chester, PA 19380

Bring unwanted hazardous household automotive products, home maintenance, lawn and pest control products as well as electronics to the next Regional Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection.

The scheduled events are for residents only. - BUSINESSES WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
