Summer T/E Board Talk Program

The latest edition of the TV program T/E Board Talk features segments on the 2012-2013 final budget, New Eagle Elementary School's Blue Ribbon celebration and information on procedures for testing and remediating radon and lead in District buildings.

 

The program is currently airing on T/E TV, Comcast Channel 14 and Verizon 20, daily at 6:00 pm. The program is also available on-line on the T/E School District web site. 

Revenue Sponsorship and Advertising Program
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District has eight schools with athletic fields, gyms and parking lots. The School District is seeking sponsors to help support its many athletic & educational programs. Interested businesses are invited to place a motivational message, logo or company name on a banner in the gym, on a light pole, or on a fence at one of the many ball fields. High profile locations are available at Conestoga High School gyms and Teamer Field, each with more than 8,000 spectators a year in attendance at sporting events.

The Paoli Intermodal Transporation Center is on the Move!

 

Tredyffrin Township would like to thank State Representative Warren Kampf, State Senator Andy Dinniman, Chester County Commissioner Ryan Costello and Willistown Township Supervisor Norman MacQueen for joining Tredyffrin Township Supervisors Michelle Kichline, John DiBuonaventuro and Evelyn Richter at the Paoli Village Shoppes on June 25th to announce that plans are underway for the Paoli Intermodal Transportation Center. Summer in the Park Concert Series

 

Come see Deja Groove perform Thursday, July 12th, 7 pm at Wilson Farm Park! The full concert schedule is available here. The Township is partnering with F4 Fiorenza’s Food for Friends and will be collecting non-perishable foods during all community events. Food will be distributed to local food pantries in Chester County. Thank you for your generosity!

 

Trout Creek Stormwater Overlay District Ordinance

 

There will be a public hearing for the ordinance on Monday, July 16th, 7:30 pm at the Township Building. At this hearing, the Board of Supervisors will review recommendations made by the Planning Commission at its meeting on June 21st for the revised ordinance and map.

A Working Group of neighbors has been reviewing the Trout Creek study and the zoning amendment, leading to a compilation of their questions and answers and their recommendations.

 

Neighbors also participated in a workshop where many related issues were discussed.

 

2013 Budget Discussions

 

During 2012, Tredyffrin will review the services provided by a different Township department each month at a Board of Supervisors public meeting, as well as revenue sources available to pay for those services. The goal is to engage in public dialogue that will lead to goals for the 2013 budget that begins in the fall. Finance and Administration will be presented Monday, July 16th, 7:30 pm.

Commercial Zoning District Amendment Draft Review

 

At its meeting on Thursday, July 19th, 7 pm, Township Building, the Planning Commission will consider a petition by Berwyn Real Estate, L.P. to amend the Zoning Ordinance, Article XVII §208-65, C-1 Commercial District, Use Regulations to permit a new use: “residential care facility for older persons providing permanent residential accommodations and/or assisted living facilities / services (and supplemental services)." American Red Cross Blood Drive

 

Tredyffrin Township received a Certificate of Appreciation from the American Red Cross, Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region, for our support of the American Red Cross Blood Program by sponsoring a blood drive on June 4th, 2012. Watch for the next blood drive to be held at the Township this fall.

 

Police Learning Series

 

The Police Learning Series will return on Thursday, September 27th, 7 pm at the Township Building with a discussion on personal safety. Watch for more information later this summer.

Ordinance Reminder

 

Tredyffrin Township has a grass ordinance in effect via a Property Maintenance Code. It requires residential and commercial property owners ensure that grass and weeds on their lawns do not surpass a maximum height of twelve (12) inches. Lawns should be maintained below this height at all times. Grass should be properly trimmed away from around buildings, driveways, and sidewalks and not be allowed to grow between the cracks of sidewalks.
