Spring & Summer Camps

 

 

The Parks and Recreation Department continues  in 2013 to provide fun and affordable camp opportunities for children and adults. Please check out the Department's web page for all the exciting ways to be involved this year!

 

 

Police Learning Series

 

The Tredyffrin Township Police Learning Series continues on Tuesday, April 23rd with a course on Community Level CPR certification at 7 pm at the Township Building. For more information or to add this event to your calendar, please click here.

 

Berwyn Fire Company Fundraiser

 

 

The Berwyn Fire Company is raising funds by selling personalized bricks, which will be placed outside of the Fire Station. More details can be found on the Berwyn Fire Company's website.

 

 

Commercial Zoning Project Update & Open House Information

 

 

The consultant group Camiros returned to Tredyffrin Township for the Planning Commission meeting on March 21st to discuss the first draft of its proposed zoning changes to the Township's non-residential ordinances. Please visit the Township's website to read the draft proposals and view the presentation.

 

Camiros will present at the Monday, May 13th Board of Supervisors meeting, as well as hold an open house on the evening of Tuesday, May 14th at the Township Building from 6 pm to 9 pm. Please watch the Township's website for more details regarding these events.

 

Earth Day & Tidy Up Tredyffrin Events

 

 

The Environmental Advisory Committee is sponsoring two events on the weekend of April 20th, including the 6th Annual Tidy-Up Tredyffrin and an Earth Day Event at Wilson Farm Park. Full details, including hours and ways to volunteer, are available on the Township website.

 

Prescription Drug Take Back Event

 

 

The Police Department, in cooperation with the DEA and ARCH, will sponsor a prescription drug take-back program at the Township Building on Saturday, April 27th from 10 am to 2 pm. For more details, please call 610-644-3221.

 

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

 

 

The Chester County municipalities are hosting a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Event for Chester County residents on Saturday, April 13th at the CAT Pickering, Center for Arts and Technology Campus, 1580 Charlestown Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460. The collection site will be open at 9 am and will close at 3 pm. Please click here for more details or to add this event to your calendar.

Spring Clean Up Day @ Mill Road Compost Site

 

The Mill Road leaf site will be open to residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th, with a rain date of Saturday, May 4th. Please check the Township website for details regarding accepted materials.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

 

Tredyffrin Township is sponsoring a blood drive with the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania on Monday, June 3rd from 1 to 6 pm in Keene Hall at the Township Building. To be a donor, you should be 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Watch the Township's website for more details to sign up and help the Red Cross meets its 2013 goals. Construction Updates

 

Darby Road in Easttown Township will be closed on weekdays starting April 15th while PennDOT replaces a drainage pipe. Click here for more information.

 

 

The Route 202 widening project continues as construction begins in East Whiteland Township on Monday evening, April 1st. Click here for more information.

 

The northbound ramps at the U.S. Route 202/Route 401 Interchange in East Whiteland Township will be closed Tuesday (April 2) and Thursday (April 4) from 9 pm to 5 am for drainage pipe installations. Click here for more information.

 

The LeBoutillier Road Bridge rehabilitation has started and the road is now closed and detours are posted. It is anticipated to be a 2 - 3 month closure.

 

The Valley Creek Trunk Sewer project has begun. Due to this project, Crabby Creek Park is closed until further notice. For more information, please click here.

At Tredyffrin Public Library: Understanding and Demystifying College Admissions on April 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th from 7 - 8:30 pm; Emerging Trends and Their Impact on Local Businesses on April 9th from 6 - 8 pm; Renoir at the Barnes on April 18th at 7:30 pm; Take the Mystery Out of Publishing on April 30th at 7:30 pm. FOR KIDS: Radnor Firefighters on April 26th at 11:15 am; Working in Early America on April 29th from 4:30-5:15 pm. The spring session of storytimes is in full bloom! At Paoli Library: Spring Book Sale from April 17th - May 8th during regular library hours; Planning for Long-Term Care on April 11th from 6:30 - 8 pm. FOR KIDS: Clean Air Storytime on April 18th from 2 - 3 pm. The new session of storytimes has begun! Go to tredyffrinlibraries.org/pkids.asp.

March & April Art Exhibit

 

The Delaware Valley Art League continues their show at the Tredyffrin Township Building with a solo exhibition that will be held during the months of March and April in the Community Room. Lidia Kohutiak of Haverford has had her work exhibited at galleries throughout the area including Wayne Art Center, Main Line Art Center, French Lemon, Sheila’s, and the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center. Her one-woman shows include the Gryphon Café and Gallery, the Tyme Gallery and the Waterfall Gallery. Lidia has also had her work on exhibit at the Hardcastle Gallery, the Sketch Club, the Z Gallery and the ADM Gallery. Awards Lidia has received include the 2012 Delaware Valley Art League Purchase Prize, a certificate and prize at the 2012 ADM Gallery, a certificate and prize at the Wayne Art Center, and an honorable mention at a juried show at the Community Art Center. Lidia is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the Woodmere Art Museum, the Wayne Art Center, the Community Art Center, the Main Line Art Center, and the Delaware Valley Art League. Stop by the Township Building during business hours to see her work.
