School Board Votes to Keep Tax Increase At Or Below 2.9% At its regular meeting on January 25th, the T/E School Board voted 9-0 in favor of a resolution that caps the potential tax increase at 2.9 percent for the 2010-2011 budget year. The preliminary budget will now be presented for approval on May 10, 2010, with the final budget vote occurring on June 14, 2010. Throughout the process of producing a balanced budget, the District remains committed to preserving its high quality educational program. The T/E School Board encourages public participation during the budget development process so that the budget reflects the input of all stakeholders. |
Finance Committee To Discuss 2010-2011 Budget on February 8, 2010 The proposed 2010-2011 budget strategies that will be presented at the February 8th Finance Committee meeting will be posted on the T/E School District web site by the end of business on February 2nd. The Finance Committee meeting will be held at 7:30 pm in the auditorium at Conestoga High School. |
Senator Dinniman to Host Public Meeting on Keystone Exams State Senator Andy Dinniman will hold a public meeting on Pennsylvania's end-of-course Keystone Exams on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at New Eagle Elementary School in the multi-purpose room. The meeting will feature important information on the revised Keystone Exams and what they mean for Pennsylvania students, teachers and schools. The meeting is open to the public.
