Budget Update from April 19th Finance Committee Meeting The T/E School Board Finance Committee met on April 19, 2010 to discuss proposed strategies to close the 2010-2011 budget gap. The administration presented a draft budget that included a proposed tax increase of 2.9%, resulting in $2.46 million in revenue, and $4.03 million in budget strategies to partially address the $9.25 million gap between revenues and expenditures. The administration presented the use of fund balance and additional budget strategies that would have minimal impact on the educational program to address the remaining $2.7 million deficit. These additional strategies will be discussed again at the May 3rd Finance Committee meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District Administration Offices on West Valley Road in Wayne. Please note the location of the May 3rd Finance Committee meeting.    The April 19th Finance Committee meeting is currently airing on T/E TV, Comcast Channel 14 and Verizon Channel 20, at 9:00 p.m. daily through April 29th.   Click here for the full press release from the Finance Committee meeting.   Click here for the 2010-2011 budget development section of the TESD web site.
