Residential Compost Site The Township will open the Cassatt Road compost site to residents only on Sunday, September 11th from 10 am to 3 pm. Acceptable material include branches from trees and bushes with these requirements: maximum diameter 6 six inches, maximum length 12 feet, minimum length 4 feet. The following materials will not be accepted at the site: Twigs and hedge clippings, vines, fresh or rotten firewood, stumps, roots, garden debris, and thorn bushes. |
Ordinance Review The Board of Supervisors began its review of the sidewalk amendment to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance during the public hearing of its meeting on July 18th. This hearing has been continued to the Board of Supervisors meeting on September 19th, 7:30 pm in the Township building. |
Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust's 7th Annual Historic House Tour The Township's Historical Commission is pleased to be a sponsor of Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust’s 7th Annual Historic House Tour on Saturday, September 24th, 12 Noon – 5 pm. House Tour tickets are $35 and the tour will feature eight private homes from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Old houses tell wonderful stories, and this year’s featured homes will not disappoint! All proceeds from the House Tour go toward the Jones Log Barn reconstruction project at DuPortail, in Chesterbrook. Once rebuilt, the Jones Log Barn will serve as a Living History Museum for the entire community to enjoy.
