| School Board Adopts 2012-2013 Preliminary Budget At its regular meeting on January 23, 2012, the T/E School Board voted 8-1 to adopt the proposed 2012-2013 preliminary budget. The preliminary budget includes a tax increase of approximately 3.3%. The T/E School Board and administration will continue to work towards balancing the budget and determining a final tax rate between now and final budget approval in June 2012. Success & Sustainability: A Plan for the T/E School District
The School Board has established the Success & Sustainability section of the TESD web site to help community members gain a better understanding of the key economic issues which are influencing both the budget planning process and our negotiations with the Tredyffrin/Easttown Education Association, the association which represents the District's teachers. Recognizing the importance of keeping the T/E school community informed, the School Board has launched a community outreach and engagement initiative. The outreach will include speaking engagements, cable programming, website updates, press releases and other forms of communication. These efforts will enable the community to gain a greater understanding of the educational goals as well as the financial limitations. The community is encouraged to stay informed. The School Board's ultimate goal is the success of our students and the sustainability of our program. |

New T/E Board Talk Program
A new TE Board Talk program is currently airing on TETV, Comcast Channel 14 and Verizon Channel 20, at 6:00 pm daily. The program includes: - An interview between School Board President Karen Cruickshank and District Solicitor for Contract Negotiations Jeffrey Sultanik;
- A presentation of the 2012-2013 preliminary budget;
- An interview with CHS Athletic Director Patrick Boyle; and
- An interview with new School Board members Kris Graham and Liz Mercogliano.
