Paoli Transportation Visions Open House

There will be a Paoli Transportation Visions Open House on Wednesday, October 24th at the Township Building. All are welcome to stop by between 4pm - 9pm to participate in this event.

Exciting plans are happening in Paoli! SEPTA and Tredyffrin Township each have retained consultants to work on the design of a new train station, parking facilities and integrated transportation networks. www.paolionthemove.org is the place to visit for the latest news about current projects, upcoming meetings and project history so you can stay informed and involved in the planned improvements to the Paoli Intermodal Transportation Center and surrounding area. On Tuesday, October 30th and Wednesday, October 31st from 3 pm to 5 pm (each day), the Tredyffrin Township Police Department will host a Halloween Safety Program. The Police Department invites children and their parents to stop by the Township Building (Keene Hall) for free costume safety checks (as well as a safety tip sheet) and some Halloween treats from the Police Department.

"Anything With a Plug" Recycling Event

Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships are co-hosting a free “Anything with a Plug” electronics recycling event on Saturday, November 3rd, 9 am to 1 pm at Wilson Farm Park. Recyclable materials include TV’s, computers, small appliances, and more. For information, please click here.

Residential Composting Site

This year, residents will be hauling materials to the site at 1542 Mill Road. For more information, including accepted materials and times for drop-off, please click here.

Adopt-an-Inlet Program

As you may be all too aware, certain areas of Tredyffrin are prone to flooding, and some of this flooding is directly related to stormwater inlets becoming covered with leaves, grass, and debris. The Township has over 3,000 stormwater inlets and only limited staff to maintain them. We need your help!

The Public Works Department is asking residents to Adopt an Inlet. This program asks residents who have a street or rear-yard stormwater inlet to make sure they are cleaned off and unobstructed. Once the debris is cleared the inlets can drain properly. If you have an inlet anywhere near your home, please be a good neighbor and keep it clear.

For more information, please click here. If you participate, please feel free to let us know or provide feedback at tredyffrin@tredyffrin.org!

Artist of the Month Series

The Artist of the Month Series sponsored by the Delaware Valley Art League continues in October. The work of artists Angela Scully of Strafford and Ozzie DiSciullo of Chesterbrook, both Township residents, is on display in the Community Room at the Township Building. Stop in and view the art of some of your friends and neighbors.

The artwork will be available for sale by the individual artists. To purchase a painting, contact the artist directly or the Artist of the Month Coordinator, Monique Kendikian-Sarkessian, call 610-296-2014, or email.

For more information on the Delaware Valley Art League, you can visit their website: www.delawarevalleyartleague.com.

First Annual Tree-dyffrin Event Update

In late September, Township volunteers and Cabrini College students planted the 250 trees in the Township’s first Tree-dyffrin event, which we hope will be an annual effort to increase the number of native trees in our community. Native plantings help to reduce mowing, provide shelter and nutrition for local species, and work to control storm water problems created by too much paving and large areas of turf.

For more information on this initiative, including why you are seeing those green tubes around Wilson Farm Park, please click here.

Winter Recreation Program Details are Available Online!

This winter, Tredyffrin will hold its traditional Winter Recreation Program as well as a new program run in conjunction with GROOVE. Check out all the options and download registration forms, by visiting the Township's Park & Recreation page!

In addition, there will be a free demonstration at the Tredyffrin Public Library on November 1st at 9:30 am of GROOVE's TOT Rock program being offered this winter.

Zoning Ordinance Amendments

In the last month, there have been two enacted ordinance amendments to the Township Zoning Ordinance. The first involves adding an additional use (An assisted living facility along with ancillary and incidental support services for the residents of the facility) to the C-1 Zoning District and the second creates an Overlay District in the Trout Creek Watershed area of the Township. For full details, including copies of the ordinance amendments, please click here.
