| | Newsweek Magazine's List of Best High Schools For the T/E community members who follow Newsweek magazine's annual America's Best High Schools story, you are aware that Conestoga High School (CHS) has been included in the list for the past several years, yet was absent from the list this year. Since the criteria Newsweek uses to determine rankings did not significantly change, we inquired about our status. We learned that Newsweek changed the way in which they collect data about high schools. Newsweek responded that they sent an email earlier in the year to all secondary schools requesting information. According to Newsweek, the email was sent to a CHS counselor. The counselor, however, reported that the email was not received. We subsequently sent our data to Newsweek, and were informed by the Newsweek staff that CHS would have ranked competitively based upon our students' performance and Newsweek's calculations.
The T/E School District publishes an annual publication called the Conestoga Profile that spotlights the outstanding achievements of CHS students. The Conestoga Profile provides an overview of the school's strong educational program and statistical information about our students' academic performance. |
2011-2012 School Board Meeting Schedule
The School Board will meet in regular session on the following dates and times during the 2011-2012 school year. Meeting agendas and minutes are posted on the T/E School District web site once finalized. All meetings are open to the public and will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Tredyffrin/Easttown Administration Offices at 940 West Valley Road, Suite 1700 in Wayne unless otherwise noted. Meeting locations are subject to change, so please check the T/E School District web site or call the Business Office at (610) 240-1915 to confirm meeting locations. The first day of school for students in grades 1-12 is August 31, 2011. The first day of school for kindergarten students is September 7, 2011.
Cycle Day Calendar: The cycle day calendar is available on the T/E School District web site and the individual school web sites by clicking on "Calendar" at the top of each home page. Click here to view the 2011-2012 cycle day calendar. Emergency Make-Up Day Schedule: The emergency make-up day schedule for the 2011-2012 school year is also available by clicking on"Calendar" on the TESD home page. Click here to view the emergency make-up day schedule.
Printing the Calendar: The District calendar and the individual school calendars may be printed by clicking on the grey "More" button on the top right side of the calendar and then selecting "Print Calendar." The orientation and size of the page can be changed by clicking on "File" then "Print Preview" in Internet Explorer. Paper copies of the online school calendars are available by request in the school offices. |
